The ROOF IS RAPIDLY DETERIORATING! So much so that the Callicoon Fire Department recently had to remove dangerously loose pieces. Without immediate repair, the structure of these historic silos is at risk.
The Callicoon silos were once the lifeblood of this town, supplying coal from Honesdales PA to Monticello NY and putting Callicoon on the map. The final invoice for their construction was paid in 1930, and since then, they've represented the strength, history, and character of our community. As we look to transform them into a beacon of regenerative energy—supporting art, farming, and community growth—we need your help to KEEP OUR HISTORY ALIVE.
